A Scottish Bride

About Myself I'm a newlywed who got married on March 15,2008. I'm currently living at home with my mother, husband, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 5 tortises. We're saving up for our first how which we'll hopefully buy soon. I'd love to start our family, but that like everything comes in it's own time. I recently lost my father, and am dealing with his death the best way I know how. Surrounding myself with the people I love, and enjoying life like he would have wanted me to.

This post is a bit of a downer, however my father needs prayers.

Yesterday my dad went into the ER (after being hasseled by my mother and I) because he's been coughing up blood. Yes, blood! When he called and told me, he said for me to stay at work, and not worry about it.

We'll sorry Charlie, that's not going to happen. I called my mother, which pissed my father off but I told him to suck it, and we met him in the ER.

They took a chest x-ray and became very concerned when they saw a LARGE mass on the upper lobe of his left lung. They then ordered a ct scan and became more concerned. So concerned in fact that they scheduled a bronchial biopsy the next afternoon. They showed us the x-ray and the ct scan. My mother and I knew it was serious the second we say the x-ray and the "fingers" that were stretching out in every direction from the "mass." That is almost always a sign of cancer.

Later Dr. D came in and basically gave us confirmation that it was lung cancer. He told us he's 95% sure it is, however he won't say he's 100% until he gets the biopsy results back.

He stayed at the hospital under observation to monitor his breathing, and watch for more bleeding.

Today he had the biopsy done. The surgery was suppose to take all of 20mins, and it ended up taking an hour and a half. They are keeping him at the hospital yet another night because they found he also has phnemonia. The mass is about the size of a grapefruit, and has protruded all the way into his esophogius.

They have finally started calling it a tumor. Dr K. who also calles herself the Armenian Millitant (she's hillarious) has alreayd put in a refferral to Oncology.

If you could, please say a prayer for my dad, that the cancer isn't metastisizing.
