Monday, April 21, 2008 Ok so I'm finally back from the honeymoon from hell!!!Yes ladies and gentalmen it was hell!!! We arrived an hour early into London and they were experiancing a freak blizzard. You got it blizzard! So bad that they canceled 126 flights. We also apparently arrived in the worst terminal possible...if you go to youtube.com and type in Terminal 5 I'm sure you'll find something. After being in the airport for a 6 hour or more layover which was only suppose to be 3, I was done! Then we come to find out they've lost ALL of our luggage. No one knew where it was. Our first hotel was small, and uncomfortable as hell. As M informed me the europians don't consider spacious hotels a necessity....this girl does. Especially when you loose ALLLLLLLLLLLll my fucking luggage which contains my face wash, body wash, make-up let alone hair needs. Needless to say I was NOT a happy camper. We toured Glasgow, and I'm not a person that likes to be on the go. My idea of a honeymoon was somthing that was suppose to be relaxing, comfortable, and having fun. None of which it really was. There were some good points to it believe me....however I'm still a very disappointed person. Believe me we have a lot of pictures, there were a lot of gorgeous places, and buildings. It was still a nightmare not having a heavy wool coat to keep me warm, or gloves being that it was about 30-40 degrees most of the time. We had to go buy things, and of course in europe nothing is the same as it is here. The make-up we bought tore up my skin and made be break out, the hard water did the same. The second half of the trip we spent at his parents house.....joy! It was like a non stop get up and go type of thing every damned day except one! Not just get up and go, but get up early and go, with me in clothing that didn't fit, jackets that didn't keep me all that warm, and heavy ass make-up! Yet again not a happy girl! I tried to keep a smile on my face and act as if I was really thankful, becaue I knew we wouldn't have gotten there if it wasn't for them, but I don't believe they once considered M's request, nor did they even ask me. On the way back into London we took a sleeper train, and our room was all of 5'x6' with 2 bunk beds that were hard as rocks, and then some jackass decided to smoke in the bathroom @ 1am and set all the fucking smoke alarms off. I didn't get any sleep at all! We got off the train @ 7:30am and couldn't check in until 2pm. This ment, no shower, greasy hair, feeling icky, etc. We walked and walked and walked and walked around London. We were lucky that we found 1 place that served a good breakfast. They had a Hard Rock Cafe so I was happy about that, and that was the only real place I could get a drink. London was the best and we only spent 2 days there. However we were yet again stuck with a small, uncomfortable, hotel room....and freezing cold. M and I were at eachothers throats. Now I am thankful for the honeymoon for 1 reason and 1 reason only, I didn't really have to pay for it, because if I had of I would have been even more upset. We did however have to pay for the last hotel room....that annoyed me, if we're going to pay for it please let us have a choice expecially after we've specifically told you we wanted to splurge a little. We actually got 2 of our bags out of 3 bags 3 nights before we left and the last one when we got home. I had more fun buying things for other people than doing anything else that we did. I really wish we could afford another honeymoon, we couldn't afford this one, so I don't see having a nice vacation at all for a long long long time. Labels: Stick a fork in me I'm done |
