Wednesday, April 11, 2007 So as I posted below Saturday was my first dress fitting for my wedding dress. My maid of honor didn't attend due to an ingrown toenail, or at least that's what she said. I have a feeling this is compelte bullshit due to the fact she went to work that night and she's a waitress. According to her she went to the doctor because it was purple and she couldn't walk on it. He informed her they could cut it out and she would be out of pain but unable to work. She told him no because they told her at her work that if anyone called in sick they would be fired. Now J is not the most intelligent person when it comes to common sense. However I know she knows that if she has a doctors excuse they can't legally fire her. This is why I feel it's a bullshit excuse. Not only that but it's been a couple days and she hasn't been back to the doctor but has been able to not only work, but go to school, and the movies with no problem what so ever! I think this is just her not wanting to get her ass up in the morning.....which is typical! Now typically I wouldn't be as annoyed as I am about this because this is just par for the course when it comes to her. However she called and woke me up at 3:25 in the morning to pick her ass up at a police station due to the fact she got a dui! Being the friend I am I jumped out of bed even though I had to be at work the next morning at 8am (which means I had to leave at 7am) and saved her ass. She has yet to admit she has a problem and I don't think she ever will! It has been almost 2 months since she showed up at my house black out drunk twice within a week, and then this. I'm getting tired of it and am even considering telling her that she can't be my maid of honor due to her lack of caring and her flakiness. I've already had to warn my wedding coordinator as well as Du about her excessive drinking. They'll be watering down her drinks and cutting her off early. I have a feeling she'll behave herself for a while since her parents will be there, but I'm not holding my breath. Does anyone have any advice on this one? |
