Wednesday, January 03, 2007 So today was one of my post op appointments. I got all my stiches out and one of the tubes. I'll hopefully get the other out on Friday. Can I just say that it's the oddest feeling to get stiches taken out where you don't have any feeling, and then a tube pulled out of your body. It hurts and feels fucking weird!! I didn't know weather to cringe or rais an eyebrow with it all. I actually got to put on a pair of jeans today and see that where a bulge used to be was now flat....that was nice. It's less than a month before my next surgery and I'm excited.I finally got to have sex this weekend. M is slowly getting over the fact that I'm not fragile and it won't hurt if he does things to me. I love him so much! I got the go ahead to wear a different compressive garment for my tummy since the one I wear is thick as hell, makes me over heat and get blisters, and it to big for my tourso. I'm taking a pair of sissors to it when my mom gets home....the doc said it was ok so I'm glad. I'll be excited when I can put on a skirt and not have to worry about the belly over hang that I had. Oh and if you're curious on how much they removed. They removed a total of 11.5 lbs from my stomach and 3lbs from my arms (both arms combined). I'll be having liposuction done on my tummy in June when I get liposuction done on my thighs. On the wedding front....I was all set to sign with the Hyatt until I saw the reception room. I originally thought it would be big enough and comfortable enough for the 100 or so people we want to invite however after seeing it set up for 80 I have major doubts about it all. They also told us they would shrink the dance floor to which I have to admit I don't think my dress will even fit on it if they do. So I have my wonderful wedding planner on the phone with them trying to swing something for us. If they don't budge since we've already had issues, we're going somewhere else. We're going to go look at the Muckenthaler Mansion in Fullerton on the 13th. If we decide to have it there it may save us close to $3000. However it won't include accomodations for myself, my guests, or M. Then we also have to think about transportation to and from as well. I'm glad we've got a little over a year now to make sure this is what we want. On the work front.....my supervisor continues to screw me over by not communicating to the other receptionists or anyone else that I won't be in until the 10th. So I got a call asking if I was coming in yesterday and had to explain everything to them and then call my union rep. Long story shot, it's all a pain in the ass! |
