A Scottish Bride

About Myself I'm a newlywed who got married on March 15,2008. I'm currently living at home with my mother, husband, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 5 tortises. We're saving up for our first how which we'll hopefully buy soon. I'd love to start our family, but that like everything comes in it's own time. I recently lost my father, and am dealing with his death the best way I know how. Surrounding myself with the people I love, and enjoying life like he would have wanted me to.

We set the date!!! It's going to be March 15th, 2008. Since we're planning on having our honeymoon in Ireland it's perfect timing for St. Patrick's Day...I think that's on the 17th! I know Maeve know's for sure, the Irish girl that she is! Things are coming along. We're planning on having the ceremony and reception at the Hyatt Regency Spa and Resort in Huntington Beach. However we're still looking at a couple other places to see if one we like them better and two if their food and beverage minimum is lower. I've got at least 2 other places I want to look at and that's about it. I'm looking at invitations and save the date cards to see what ones I like, just to show them to him and hopefully have him make a decision. I'm looking forward to hiring a wedding cordinator in about 6-8 months at the minimum.

On the other front...J my long time friend is all excited about the wedding, and helping me plan. Mostly about the cake tasting and the food tastings though lol!! She and I went to Disneyland on my birthday to hang out and talk about everything that's happened in the last 2 years. I told her about the Witches, and really wantng to bring her along to meet them. I was glad to hear she had a steady relationship for a year with a girl named Kat. Though was a bit saddened to hear that it turned abusive. I'm encouraging her to get another girlfriend (if she's ready) and not dwell on the past relationship. I am hoping she finishes her degree and meets someone that is a good match, and a good partner.
